Journey To Self Expression: 8 Week Drawing Course
Time: 6pm-8pm

Man has used mark-making from Paleolithic times for shamanic, and recording purposes. This primal urge is still alive in us today.

As unique as a fingerprint, or handwriting, each person has their own distinctive way of seeing and symbolizing the world around them.
Given the right guidance and environment this can be nurtured and uncovered.
​
Whilst exploring vastly different methods; studying vastly different styles of the great artists as practice, delving into basic concepts of line, form, tone, shading, texture we simultaneously investigate and clarify the subject matter we wish to portray.
​
We will experiment with media: pencil, charcoal, ink and pen, mixed media, oil pastels, conté using these on different surfaces and textures.
​
Students then work on their own individual projects in the media of their choice, more particular skills are mastered as called for in the work.
​
Homework is given in sketchbooks to inspire, inform and consolidate.

Cost: R150 per class/R1200 per month

No skill required. We will allow what we are feeling to guide the way, all happy accidents will be embraced to access and integrate unconscious material from our inner worlds.
Using mixed media, we will decorate a diary with collage, dreams, memorabilia and allow ourselves to reflect on our daily experiences, each week exploring a different theme. Process not product-based.
Developing Your Own Unique Artistic Style
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed for adults/teenagers looking to develop their own artistic style through individual projects and self-discovery. Participants will explore various techniques, mediums and artistic concepts while receiving tailored feedback to refine their unique voice.
